[edit] ARE YOU TOUGH ENOUGH?

'Are You Tough Enough?' is a BBC2 series transmitting in July 2001. Filmed over a ten-day period, 30 members of the public are put through SAS selection and two weeks of hell. The series is closely based on the procedures outlined in 'Joining the SAS' by Barry Davies.

Are You Tough Enough is a 6 x 30 minute BBC series where thirty members of the public will be put through SAS selection and two weeks of pure hell. Highlights will include training in survival, interrogation, parachuting, shooting, hostage rescue, off-road driving and running an assault course until the first contestant drops. Out of the initial 30, there will be at least a 90% failure rate. This accompanying book is an updated reissue of Barry Davies' Joining the SAS (Pan) on which the BBC series is closely based. The author Barry Davies will be appearing in every episode as the SAS expert. The reissue will include a tie-in cover, an extra 16 pages of text about the TV series, and a new 8-page colour section of the contestants in action.
